Indurain X Pantani 

Paired early in the fall of 2010. Indurain ovulated on 20 Nov 2010. Indurain laid a clutch of 27 eggs on 4 Jan 2011, 23 are fertile and are now in the incubator. Expected Hatch Date 2/23/11

Eggs began pipping on 25 Feb 11, on day 53 of incubation. It looks like I have 15 babies ( one isn’t perching just yet…so my fingers are crossed that it does so soon ), and a couple of the neos resemble the dam as a neo. My main goal of this pairing was to produce a couple of chondros that looked similar or better than the dam.

8 March 2011 Update: The one neo that wasn’t perching died….I am down to 14 neos. Ona brighter note….the first feeding trial went very well 5 of7 ate their first meal today.

20 March 2011  Update: All 14 neos have had a least one meal, and several have eaten 3 times.
